Show Suzanne Sargent Recites Wedding Vows Miss Suzanne Sargent, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Sargent, now living in Seattle, Wash, but formerly of Cedar City was married to Ronald Alvin Off ret on March 15. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George S. McPhie, 111 No. 27th Avenue, Yakima, Wash. A grandfather of the bride, J. Howard Maughan officiated at the single ring ceremony which took place in the Logan LDS Temple. On the evening of the 15th the newlyweds were honored at an open house at 545 N. 6th E. in Logan. They will be feted further at a reception in Yakima at the LDS Stake House on March 22. The bride wore a gown of delustered satin which featured fea-tured a round neck, lily point sleeves, and a detachable train. Rows of seed pearls added ad-ded accent around the waist and bottom of the skirt. The picture was completed with the bridal bouquet of daffodils daffo-dils and daisys. Attending the bride as maid and matron of honor, respectively, respect-ively, were Karen Sargent and Mrs. David R. Swapp. The bridesmaids were Judith Cowan, Co-wan, Sherry Wood, Karen McPhie, Mc-Phie, Saundra Sargent and Gayle Sargent. The attendants wrere dressed dress-ed in floor length gowns of lemon yellow crepe. They carried car-ried bouquets of mums and daisys. Truman H. (Butch) Yeager was best man and the ushers were Don McPhie, Wayne Sargent, Sar-gent, and Dale Offret. Mrs. Sargent wore a pale yellow brocade dress featuring featur-ing short sleeves, a round neck and a sash around the bodice which gave the dress an empire em-pire effect. The bridegroom's mother wore a pale yellow two-fieee knit suit. -The- color chosen by the bride, yellow, was further carried out by her going away costume which consisted of a lemon yellow crepe dress worn with orange and beige accessories. The bride graduated from Utah State University where she was affiliated with Alpha Chi Omega, Sigma Phi Eta, and Senior Women s honorary. She will continue flying for Alaska Airlines. The bridegroom has attended attend-ed Yakima Valley College and will now attend the University of Washington. The newlyweds will reside at 5001 Ravenna Ave. N. E. No. 16 in Seattle's University District. Dis-trict. Relatives from Cedar City who attended the wedding and reception in Logan were Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Schmutz, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas B. Cardon, i and Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Sargent. |
