Show anet Louise Bauer Recites July Wedding lYovs in Church Held Double Ring Ceremony The home of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley P. Bauer was the setting1 for a double ring ceremony which! united in marriage their daughter daugh-ter Janet Louise to Gordon R.I Batt Mr. Batt is the son of Mr. 'and Mrs. Chester Batt Parents ! of the couple all reside in Cedar .City. Stake President Frank D. Day 'of the Cedar West Stake officiated officiat-ed at the ceremony which was performed in the presence of the bride's and brldesgroom's parents and about 30 close family members. mem-bers. Following the wedding dinner the young couple greeted friends and relatives at a reception held in the beautifully decorated foyer foy-er of the 10th Ward Church. The newlyweds stood with their attendants in a wedding line formed under an impressive arch intwined with yellow-sweet-peas and set with vases of yellow yel-low gloxinia. The color theme of green and yellow was carried out in baskets of yellow roses, chrysanthemums and gladiolas as well as th table covers and centerpieces. The bride held a bouquet of yellow roses centered with a white orchid and eight streamers of seed pearls with a tiny rosebud rose-bud clinging to the tip of each streamer. Her fingertip veil of French illusion was caught in a tiara set with rhinestones, scalloped boat neck and V-chap-ed bodice In the back and front was enhanced with lace embroid ered over tht satin. A single lace I rose and loaf adorned each long pointed sloeve and the pleated back skirt and lace covered front j panel carried out the V-shaped j design of the bodice, j Assisting the bride as matron of honor was her foster sister, Mrs. Terry DeMille. The bridesmaids brides-maids were Joyce Nelson and Patricia Stratton of Cedar City and Marcella Lamb of Pomona, Calif. Petite Lesa Lee DeMille and Charlotte Batt were flower girls. The dresses and flowers adorning the attendants were in keeping with the chosen color theme. Serving the bridegroom as best man was his brother Rodney Batt. Duane W. Bauer acted as usher while gift bearers were Russell and Melanie Batt and Kathryn Lowe. At the servint; table were Reta Anderson and Dot Guymon. Serving were the Misses Mary Lynn Laurence, Maxine Clark, Susan Seaman, Sandra Bauer and Paula Gilger. Margurite Louer, Idalee Singleton and Bonnie Bauer helped In the gift room. Kitchen hostesses were Verda R. Munford, Betty Lowe and Barbara Bar-bara L. Bauer. Assisting at the guest book during the evening were Lorn a Alger, Colleen Adams and Karen Anderson. Hostesses for the evening affair was Mrs. Aurelia Bauer. In attendance during the reception re-ception activities was Mr. John -tt. grandfather of he bride- - -'- M ' , !' She has been active in church ad 4 II groups and is a staff member of the school paper for this coming year. Mr. Bart has attended schools in Parowan where he made hi home until a year ago. He is graduate of Parowan High School and has attended College of Southern Utah. Returned from a honeymoon trip through the Utah Parks, the couple are now making their home at 295H North 100 West in Cedar City. - |
