Show Shirley Dianne Stratton and Joseph Harris Gubler Exchange Vows in St. George Temple Shirley Dianne Stratton and Joseph Harris Gubler exchanged vows September 4 In the St. George LDS Temple. President Milton S. Earl performed the ceremony which was followed by a wedding breakfast at the Sugar Su-gar Loaf Cafe in St. George given by the bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harris Gubler, Las Vegas, Ve-gas, Nev. Later In the evening the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elton Stratton, Strat-ton, Cedar City, hosted a reception recep-tion i iiie Foui iii Wtuu Ciiuicii. The bride wore a gown created by her mother; it was styled with delicate lace bodice, scoop neckline neck-line and long lace sleeves ending end-ing in lace scallops over the hands. Skirt of the gown was of peau de sole and fell from a high empire waist which curved into a bell shape at the bottom. Lace flowers and leaves formed a design de-sign down one side of the skirt and were embroidered with pearl beads. A detachable train added interest to the back of the dress and was set off by a large butterfly but-terfly bow of the same material. ; The bride's shoulder-length veil of sheer nylon Illusion was held ; In place by a peau de sole bow embroidered with lace rose and I pearl beads. She carried a bou- quet of tangerine roses, white I feather mums and English Ivy. , Miss Christine Heaton was ; maid of honor. She wore a gown . of tangerine delustered satin J with shoes to match. On her . head was a short veil matching her dress and held in place by a large flat bow. The Misses Mar garet Erickson, Cedar City; Linda Lin-da Kay Wilklns, Mayfield, Utah, and Susan Payne, Provo, were bridesmaids with Miss JoLayne Stratton, sister of the bride, as a Junior bridesmaid. They were attired at-tired in like dresses of gold delustered de-lustered satin embossed with tangerine roses. The dresses were styled with scoop neck-lines, short sleeves and bell skirts. Each bridesmaid wore gold shoes to match a large flat bow of gold and tangerine satin and net on their hc dr.. Esch -wore a string of pearls, gifts from the bride, and carries white feather fea-ther mums with ribbon streamers. stream-ers. I Best man was Richard Woodbury. Wood-bury. Ushers were Roger and Monty Stratton, the bride's brothers bro-thers and Mr. Deward Webster, a brother-in-law. ( Hostess at the reception was Mrs. Richard Oyler and master of ceremonies was Mr. Blaine Cutler, brother of the bride. Mrs. Boni Webster, the bride's sister was at the guest book. Grace Osborne, Velma Leany, Dorothy Clark were in charge of the gift room while Fern Erickson, Sidney Hahne and Fern Hall served as kitchen hostesses. They were assisted as-sisted by Judy Cutler, La Rue Tucker, Zelda Smith and Alice Batt at the punch tables. Serving Serv-ing were LaDonna Wilkins, Mart-lin Mart-lin Oyler. After a honeymoon trip to northern nor-thern Utah, the couple are making mak-ing their home in Cedar City where both will attend College of Southern Utah. The bridegroom has completed one year at CSU toward a degree In business.
