Show .""'. 1 , i.i MR. AND MRS. CALVIN HAIR Ruth Cooper Plights Troth with Calvin Hair The St. George LDS Temple was the setting Saturday for the marriage of Miss Ruth Cooper and Calvin T. Hair. President Rudger C. Atkin officiated at the double ring ceremony. The blrde is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Cooper. Parents Par-ents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hair. Accompanying the couple through the temple were close friends and relatives, Including their parents and the bride's grandmothers, Mrs. Daphne R. Hartle and Mrs. Ruth O. S;evens of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Robert P. Coojkt and Lt. and George K. Harmon, Salt Lake City, Ci-ty, and Mr; i i x K. Genkins and son Clark of San IVe, Califronn. The newlyweds and member:: of the wedding party were honored hon-ored at a breakfast following the ceremony. Hosts for the social were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hair. September 5th, the evening of their wedding, the couple greeted greet-ed guests at a garden reception held at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Paul Lunt. The bride wore her wedding gown of white file over taffeta for this occasion. The gown was styled with a scooped neckline, fitted bodice, lilly-oint lilly-oint sleeves with tiny pearl buttons but-tons matching back buttons of pearl. Also highlighting the back of the gown's bell shaped skirt was a slight train affect. She chose a bridal illusion veil with a pedal crown complete with irradiating ir-radiating beads. She carried a crescent bridal boquet of white gladioli. Attendants to the bride wore navy blue sheaths and crowns of navy blue with white veils. They carried nose gays of gamelias. Sister of the bride, Daphne C. Dalley, was batron of honor. The Misses Norma Jean Randall, Harriet Har-riet Ann Isom and Margo Lynn Bird, Cedar City; Miss Ruth Roberts Ro-berts of Vernal and Miss Ruth Ann Haphen of St. George were bridesmaids. Flowers girls, sisters sis-ters of the newlyweds, Necia Joy Cooper and Christine Hair, were dressed In pink and held baskets of gladioli blossoms and buds. Steve Cahoon was best man while Merrill Wilding, Glen Crawford, Roger Hair and David Cooper were ushers. Hostess at the reception was Naomi Lunt. Guest book attendant attend-ant v. as Mrs. George Harmon. Assisting As-sisting in the gift room were aunts of the bride, Mrs. Robert P. Cooper, Mrs. Arven Cooper, Mrs. Wallace B. Stevens and Mrs. Ruth O. Stevens. Kitchen attendants attend-ants were Mrs. Lit a Cooley, Mrs. Mont Benson, Mrs. Van Bushnell, Mrs. Wallace Smith and Mrs. Dex Cowley. Catering was done by Mrs. Reid Cox. Serving were the Misses Elaine Cooper, Irene Cooper, Coop-er, Wendy Cooper, Roma Jean Cooper, cousins of the bride, and friends, llss Ann Grimshaw, Miss Danna Evans and Miss Trudy Tru-dy Knell. The wedding cake was cut and served by Mrs. Max Randall Ran-dall and Mrs. Forrest Hunter. Pouring were Mrs. Winston Seeg-miller, Seeg-miller, Mrs. Bert Carpenter and Mrs. T. R. Bradshaw. Following a honeymoon trip to Denver, the newlyweds will make their home in. Salt Lake City where Mr. Hair will attend the University of Utah as a political science major. The new Mrs. Hair in a graduate grad-uate of the Cedar High School and LDS Seminary program. She has attended College of Southern Utah and Brigham Young University. Uni-versity. The bridegroom has also attended CSU and in addition to enrolling at the University of Utah, he is currently engaged in officer training school for the U. S. Marine Corp. After IT of II graduation next spring, he will train with the Marine Corps for one year at Quantlco, Virginia to complete his requirements as an officer of the Marines. |
