Show Elaine Whitney Will Wed R.L Duke , In Home Ceremony The marriage of Miss Elaine Whitney to Mr. Ralph La Mar Duke of Provo, which will take place on Friday evening, June 6, is announced by Mr. and Mrs. Blanchard E. Whitney, parents of the prospective bride. The wedding will take place at the Whitney home here with Bishop Karl O. Mitchell performing the ceremony. Attending the bride will be her sister-in-law, Mrs. Hazel Ann Whitney, as matron of honor, and Mrs. Marilyn, Williamson, sister of the groom; Miss Joanne Moore, Provo; Mrs. Maxine D. Barton, Miss Joan Adams and Miss Elrea Clark, as bridesmaids. Performing the duties of best man will be Curtiss Brown of Provo. A reception in honor of the newly married couple will be held that same evening from 8 to 10 a'clock in the First-Second ward Relief Society rooms. Following Fol-lowing a short honeymoon trip the newlyweds will make a home in Provo where both are employed. em-ployed. Miss Whitney is a graduate of the Parowan high school and has resided in Provo for the past year and a half where she is employed in the J. C Penney Co. store. Mr. Duke is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Duke of Provo. |
