Show Popular Couple Make Wedding Vows Mr. and Mrs. Bert Smith announce an-nounce the marriage of their sister. MLss lone Jackson, daughter of Frank B. Jackson of Toquervllle. to Anthon H. Lambert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Lambert of Lehi. The wedding ceremony was performed per-formed Sunday. June 29, at 6 p. m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Smith by Bishop I. E. Riddle of the Cedar City L.D.8. Fourth ward, and was witnessed by members of the Immediate Im-mediate family and a few close friends. The bride chose as her wedding outfit a beautiful ros? -beige lace knit afternoon frock with which she wore a corsage of gardenias and sweetpeas. Mrs. Rlxie Riddle, matron of honor, wore a gown of pink, her corsage being made of pink and 'white sweetpeas. Little Diane and Karen Smith, nieces of the bride, acted as flower girls and were frocked In yellow organdy and carried bouquets of garden flowers. while her nephew, Gary Smith, was ring bearer. Joe Lambert of Lehl, brother of the groom, was best man. Immediately following the ceremony, cere-mony, the wedding party was honored hon-ored at a supper at Mary's Tea Room. The twenty-seven guests were seated at small tables surrounding sur-rounding the head table which had as its centerpiece a large wedding cake In pink and white, topped by a miniature bride and groom. The young couple then left for a short trip to Lehl and other northern north-ern Utah points, returning this week to make their home In Cedar City. The bride, a graduate of the local high school and a student at the Branch Arlcultural College for the past two years, has been prominent in music and dancing circles of the community. While at the B.A.C. she appeared In three collegiate operas In addition to numerous other special musical presentations. Mr. Lambert, who has made a name for himself In southern Utah boxing circles, Is also a student of the Branch Agricultural Collegte where he was a member of the grid squad for two years and a member of the Sigma Chi Rho fraternity. Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Lambert Lam-bert was extensively entertained by her friends. On Friday evening, June 20, her sister, Mrs. Bert Smith, entertained at a delightful lawn party at her home to which thirty-five thirty-five close friends of the honored guest were bidden. Miss Rae Merry-weather Merry-weather entertained at a breakfast at the home of Mrs. M. J. Urle on Sunday, June 22, with sixteen guests present, and on Wednesday, June 25. Mrs. Rlxle Riddle and RaVenna Leigh were hostesses at an Informal party at the home of Mrs. Riddle's mother, Mrs. Moroni Perry. Fourteen guests were present. |
