Married William Fredrick Burns April 5, 1967 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He died Nov. 12, 1971. Berniece was the personnel per-sonnel manager for Woolworth's when it first opened in Cedar City and held that position for a number of years. She was an active member of the LDS Church serving in the Primary, MIA and Sunday School Coordinator for a number of years. She was a daughter of the Utah Pioneers and a member of the ladies Business & Professional Club. She is survived by four stepchildren; Sherrie Ann Worley of Louisiana, Wilma Gafford of Witchata, Kansas, Kan-sas, Virginia Ferris of Bountiful and Kenneth Burns of Elko, Nev. Also surviving is a brother, Horace Miller of Cedar City and a sister Mrs. Mabel M. Decker of Parowan. Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 8, 1977 at 1:00 p.m. in the Parowan Second LDS Ward Chapel. The family prayer was offered of-fered by R. Gary Miller with Vyonne Chamberlain playing the prelude, postlude music and Bishop. Glen L. Halterman conducting. con-ducting. Musical selections consisted of a vocal duet by Ellen Adams and Sharon Potter singing "Heaven is My Home" acc. by Marie Adams; a vocal solo by Brenda Adams, "Moonlight and Roses" acc. by Vyonne Chamberlain and a vocal solo by Stephen Adams, "Going Home" acc. by Vyonne Chamberlain. The speakers were Frankie Lou Bentley, and Delia Gurr with a tribute by Phillip Miller and remarks by Bishop Glen L. Halterman. The invocation in-vocation was offered by Alan Adams with Farris Evans giving the Benediction and Phillip H. Miller dedicating the grave. Interment was in the Parowan City cemetery under the direction of the Spilsbury & Graff Mortuary.
