Show Prominent Cedar City Optometrist, Dr.M. F. Burgess, Dies Funeral services were conduct ed in the Cedar Eighth-Second Ward Chapel Monday aftermoi for Dr M. Forrest Burgess. M prominent Cedar City optome rist. Dr. Burgess died of heart fail ure due to emphysema Wcilnes -lay. June 2. lie had been il only a short time. He was born in Troy, Ida., on August 9, ISilS, a son of James 11 and Sarah Lee Burgess. He mar ried Harriet Thorley on Angus 2 1911, in Las Vegas, and hat practiced in Cedar City for main years. He had been an active member of the Cedar City Lions Club, the local Elks Lodge. BPOE No. 1556, and was a former president of the dtali Optometric Association. Survivors include his widow, and a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Burgess Bur-gess Worthen, Cedar City; and a brother. Dr. J. H. Burgess, Moscow, Mos-cow, Idaho. Burial was in the Cedar City Cemetery.
