Show Lemuel W.Willis,78 Accorded Final Rites Saturday Funeral services for Lemuel W. Willis, 78, were conducted In the First Ward chapel Saturday afternoon. af-ternoon. Mr. Willis died Wednes. lay, Mar. 6, of causes Incident ( to age. Mr. Willis was born in Kanar-raville Kanar-raville on May 17, 1879, a son it Lemuel Merrill and Martha liza Babcoik Willis, and had sj)ent his life In Kanarravillo and Cedar City. On December 24 ' 1312 he married Rhoda May Bl.i. don of Cedar City in the St. George LDS temple. He Is survived by his widow. Cedar City; three sons. Max Bladen Bla-den Willis, Cedar City; Jay C. Willis. North Ogden, and Thur-man Thur-man Willis, Kimberly. Idaho and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by two sister, Eliza Ann Batty, Kanarraville. and Mrs.' Robert Kemp, Salt Lake City, j The funeral services were conducted con-ducted by Bishop Homer S. Jones of the Cedar First Ward. Speakers Speak-ers at the services were Charles' R. Hunter and Samuel F. Leigh. I Invocation was by Bert Langford,! benediction by Rex Spacknrnn, and the dedicatory prayer at Cedar Ce-dar City cemetery where burial was made, by George W. Grim-shaw. Grim-shaw. Prayer at the mortuar, prior to the services was by Donl W. Draper. The musical program included the opening and closing songs. 1 That Beautiful Land." and "Lead Me Gently Home," by a quarter composed of Lois McCon-nell, McCon-nell, Mamie Eck, Ray Cosslett and Vernon Jones, and a vor-.l duet, "Whispering Hope." by Mr. and Mrs. Howard Wood. Accompanist Accom-panist was by Belle Jones, who also played prelude and post-lude post-lude organ music. |
