Show Former Kanab Matron Dies in Calif. Home Funeral services were held in Kanab Thursday for Anne Elizabeth Eliza-beth Brown, TJ, who died at the home of her daughter in Santa Ana, Calif., June 17, of a coronary coron-ary occlusion. A former resident of Kanab she is the grandmother of Mrs. Richard Rich-ard Daver of Cedar City. She was born Jan. 20, 1832 at Kanab, a daughter of John Franklin and Anne Elizabeth Fuller Brown. Survivors include two daughters: daugh-ters: Mrs. S. V. (Bessie) Jardine, Oakland, California, Mrs. Elwin (Gretta) Pratt. Fredonia, Ariz.; three brothers, John, Joseph and Ferry Morz Brown, all of Kanab; three sisters: Mrs. Sytha Church, Kanab; Mrs. Erastus (Louvinat Nelson , Salt Lake City; Mrs Harriett Har-riett Beacham, Santa Ana, Calif.; five grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Miss Linda Rae Dalton dis-tinquished dis-tinquished herself at the annual Girls State activities in Logan recently. She was a city delegate and was elected to the office of County Assessor. She received a year's full tuition to College of Southern Utah as her award. Larry Lee Lister, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jess Lister, left here on i June 14th to join the Armed For-ces. For-ces. He is now receiving his basic Army training at Fort Ord, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. II. Revere Robinson Robin-son are proud grandparents again. The newcomer is a baby girl born on Thursday to Cluff and Donna Jolley of Cedar City. The older three children came to Paragonah to stay for a few days. Mr and Mrs. Orson Talbot have a new granddaughter, born on Wednesday of last week to Brent and Shirley Talbot of Parowan. Paro-wan. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Dailey and son, Roger, of Riverton, Wyoming Wy-oming arrived here on June 18th 1, visit with relatives until the first of July. Ward Conference was held in Paragonah Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. R. L. McGookin I and son, Jon of Long Beach, Cal-1 if., arrived here Wednesday of I last week for a vacation visit I with Mrs. McGookin's mother Mrs. Elizabeth Maxwell and the Wilson Lund family. Numerous family members were together for the week end ! and a picnic party at Five Mile! Saturday and a gathering at the Lund home on Sunday was in j order. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. Murl Gibson and j daughter, Kathy, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Maxwell and daughter, Patsy Pat-sy and Mrs. Clare Miller of Cedar City; Mr. and Mrs. Dean Maxwell Max-well and three children of American Amer-ican Fork, John Maxwell and his daughter, Mrs. Darlene Sterling j and two children of Toquervllle; and Mrs. Betty Smith and child-1 left rf Targwan.
