Show Native of Parowan Dies at 51 In Reno, Nevada Relatives here received word last week end of the death of Orton Rasmussen, 51, on June 28 at his home in Reno, Nevada where he had lived for the past 21 years. Orton, a native of Parowan, Par-owan, had died in his sleep at his quarters in a cabin court in Reno, with death resulting from natural causes. He had been dead for three days when the caretaker at the court became alarmed at not seeing see-ing him and called the police. When the latter broke in they found him dead in his bed. Members of the family here were called and his brothers, Howard and Aaron went to Reno. They were Joined there by a sister sis-ter Florence Clark of Woodland California, and funeral services were held and burial took place in the Nevada City. Condition of his body were such that it was not adviseable to bring him home. The deceased was born here Nov. 27, 1899, a son of Enoch and Lucetta OTton Rasmussen, and resided here until 21 years ago when he moved to the Nevada City. He attended local schools and then engaged in building and construction work which he had continued until shortly before be-fore his death. He never married. He is survived by six brothers and sisters as follows: Mrs. Violet Vio-let Clark, Howard and Aaron Rasmussen, Ras-mussen, Parowan; Florence Clark of Woodland, Calif:, Ada Wood-cocke, Wood-cocke, Salt Lake City, and Merrill Rasmussen, Boise, Idaho. |
