Show Brother Of Cedar City Man Dies Of Burns Gordon Stout, 25, of Salt Lake City, a brother of Delworth Stout pf Cedar City, died Sunday in a Salt Lake hospital of injuries suffered suf-fered in an explosion of a can of blasting powder September 25th. Gordon and his brother, Kenneth Stout, 21, were severely burned when the can of blasting powder exploded after being Ignited by sparks from a welding torch. Kenneth Ken-neth is convalescing In Holy Cross hospital. Mr. Stout was born April 21, 1921, In Hurricane, a son of Walter and Mary Workman Stout. After being graduated from the Hurricane high school he Joined the Army Air Forces In August, 1943. He completed 25 missions over Germany as an engineer en-gineer on a B-17. Mr. Stout held the Air Medal with four oak leaf clusters clust-ers and the Distinguished Flying Cross. Since his discharge in October Octo-ber of 1945 he had been employed at the Bender-Stoll Body company In Salt Lake City. Survivors include his widow, Mary Thomas Stout, a daughter, Karon Jo, and his parents, all of Salt Lake City; two sisters, Mrs. Wealthy Hey-wood Hey-wood and Mrs. Vlnctta Wright, Hurricane; Hur-ricane; seven brothers, Clayton 8tout , Clearfield; Asael Stout. Henderson, Hen-derson, Nevada; Delworth Stout, Cedar City; Kenneth Stout, R. Dean Stout, Alma Stout and Lloyd Stout, all of Salt Lake City. |
