B Gardner of Cedar City died in St St. George Thursday night following an illness of three w weeks eks duration Death was caused by ailments Incident to age but an attack of pneumonia la last t week was w the greatest contributing cause The was a 1 prominent pioneer of southern Utah a very ery active e church worker a farmer and stockman of alley for many years He was born In Lehl Lehi on December 21 1857 and moved to southern Utah with his family when a boys boy boyHe He married Mary Alice Gardner on December 17 1884 in the St. St George Temple He first lived in but moved to w Panaca Nevada In 1888 Ke he was recalled to to serve as a councilman councilman councilman council council- man In the Ward He lie later became bishop of the ward and served in that capacity for 42 years after which he retired to do ordinance work in the St St. Geoge Temple lIe He is survived by his widow and ten sons and daughters Mrs Ann Eplin Orderville Mrs Elmira Lang Mrs Nora Bentley J J.
