Show Impressive Rites Held For Wm Vm Stephens I William Stephens 53 53 died early early I Saturday morning after an illness of of I four weeks duration from blood poi pol- pol-I pol i and pneumonia from which he suffered severely se until relieved by death The blood poisoning was caused caused caused caus caus- ed from Infection In a cut on his hand which h he received while working on the sewer system General was the direct cause of death Seven years ago this month Mr Stephens was very seriously Injured when he was as crushed between two ore cars while working at the iron mines at Desert Mound and complications de developing developing developing de- de from those Injuries had greatly great great- ly Impaired his health and weakened his system to a point when he was unable unable unable un un- able to resist the ravages of his latest latest latest lat lat- est affliction He had been able to beabout be beabout beabout about during much of the time since he was hurt and although very lame had worked at various Jobs but was never really recovered and suffered pain practically every day Funeral services were conducted by Bp Walter K Granger Oranger In the Third Wad chapel Tuesday afternoon which were beautiful and impressive and the attendance floral offering and words of speakers who paid high tribute to his character faith unselfishness and uncomplaining spirit throughout all his suffering attested to the high es esteem esteem esteem es- es teem In which he was held Speakers Included Mayor Charles R R.
