Elks i died In the Veterans Veteran hospital In Salt I Lake City Friday morning following a stroke I Mr Miller was waa a World War veteran veteran vet vet- eran having spent one and a half years overseas during the great con con- con I con 1 I met He m was an active member of the Lester Keates Post Pot of the Amerlean Amer Amer- I lean ican Legion which organization was In charge of funeral services held Tuesday Burial was made mad In the St. St George cemetery The deceased suffered a stroke five wee weeks ago which left him paralyzed para I on his right side and destroyed destroy destroy- ed his voice He was taken to th the tha Veterans hOO hospital three weeks before be lore fore ore his 1113 death where It was f felt lt he I was recovering satisfactorily until another an an- i other stroke caused his sudden death Friday He has suffered a serious I Illness in February having been oper oper- for ulcers of the stomach from which he had not completely ered He lie was born in Iowa in August 1892 a son of Mr and Mrs J. J J. J Mil MU ler He came to Cedar City from Canby Minnesota in 1922 coming here with his brother Frank Miller who lost his life by drowning In Panguitch lake in July of ot last year ear After working here for about two tM years Bill and Frank went to St. St George for tor a couple of years after which they bu built t a garage larage and had 1 operated opera that bt business iness until death ended their careers Mr Miller Is s survived by his widow prene ene ene Thompson Mill Miller r and three children John 10 and Edna May 8 8 by a former marriage and Billy o one year old He Is also survived by hU his l father J.
