Show ' New Harmony Matron I Dies, Funeral ' Conducted Saturday I Mrs. Mallssa Dowel Hammond, 82, of New Harmony died Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Feb. 3 at a Trovo hospital. hos-pital. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted by Bishop Sheldon Grant in the New Harmony Ward chapel cha-pel Saturday afternoon, and burial bur-ial was in the New Harmony cemetery. Mrs. Hammond was born In Kanosh, Utah, on Sept. 30, 1S82, a daughter of Jaoom and Sarah Woolsey Deuel. She married Orson Or-son Hammond on Dec. 13, 1905 in the St George LDS Temple. Survivors include her husband, four daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Es-tella) (Es-tella) Brown, Mrs. Burt (idona) Truman, both Henderson, Ncv.; Mrs. Tone (Annetta) Foremaster, Mrs. Myron (Helen) Jones, both St. George. Also surviving are II grandchildren and one greatgrandchild, great-grandchild, and a half brother, Delbert Woolsey, Cedar City. Speakers at the funeral survives surv-ives were Lyle Prince and Viola Kelsey. Invocation was by Garry Ftttlct?, Lwiit-uii'tjuii uy siurii Mathis, and dedication of the grave was by Gerald Prince. The musical program included a vocal sol, ' Oh, My Father," by Herschcl Neeley; a vocal solo, "In the Garden," by Mary Lou Schmut, and a vocal duet, "I Know That My Redeemer Lives," by Marion and Edna Prince. |
