Show Pioneer Lady Looks To the Future On Her 93rd Birthday A pioneer settler of Little Cot. tonwood. St. George, Hebron and Enterprise, Mrs. Alydia Winsor, who celebrated her 93rd birthday in January, is still looking forward for-ward to her goal of living to be 100 years of age. Still spry and active for her years, she insists upon helping with household duties, regularly attends church. Relief Society and DUP meetings and an occasional oc-casional show. She spent her 93rd birthday last month visiting with her many callers, reading her greeting greet-ing cards and opening her gifts. At the present time, Mrs. Winsor is living with her oldest daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Ethel Simkins, Enterprise Enter-prise k Mrs. Winsor, a daughter of Thomas Searl and Mary Ann Pulsipher Terry was five years old when she came with her people peo-ple to St. George in 1862 in answer an-swer to .a call from Birgham Young to help build up the community. com-munity. On March 9, 1887, she married Anson Perry Winsor II in the St. George L D S temple. Later the family moved to Enterprise and their's was the third home built in that community. Mrs. Winsor is the mother of 11 children with the following still living: Mrs. Ethel Simkins, A. P. Winsor, and Mrs. Mary W. Pickering, Enterprise; L. M. Winsor, Win-sor, Salt Lake City; Walter F. Winsor, Ivins, and Rulon S. Win-sor, Win-sor, Compton, Calif. She has 52 grandchildren and 50 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. A family reunion is being planned for this coming summer. |
