Show The town has been In a state of suppressed sup-pressed excltem-mt durlug the whole of the week; first was the school children child-ren who wero all stimulated up on nc count of the uncertainty that attends the last days of. the school season; every "Kid" was wondering whether he or she would get promoted or not, and in their anxiety they wero obliged to neglect their customary business of playing and dovdte a few minutes to the examination of the books which contain their lessons. However, that part of the situation la somewhat relieved re-lieved as we go to press, the momentous moment-ous question having been decided in tho most of cases to the satisfaction of the kids, who are not so particular as to whether they deservo promotion as they are as to whether they will get it. Hut the more serious business of the ' Sunday School Convention Is now on and tho outcome is not yet. |
