Show tUedding Belts, i t ' ' Parker-Airis. ' The marriage of Miss Maud O. Parker, Park-er, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. N. Parker, and Mr. George H. Airis took place Wednesday morning at 0 o'clock at the First Presbyterian church, Dr William M. Paden officiating. The wedding was a quiet one. only the relatives rela-tives being present. The church was decorated with palms and autumn leaves, and the altar was banked with white asters. The bride was unattended un-attended and wore a gown of white voile over taffeta, with stitched bands of the taffeta for trimming. She carried car-ried no flowers, but a hat of whiti; ! with heavy white plumes . completed her costume. The young couple left on. the noon train for a wedding trip, , the bride being gowned in a going-away going-away costume of blue clofli with a hat of white trimmed with blue to match. The service was a. beautiful one. Miss Maud Thorne rendering the Lohengrin "Wedding March" before and during ihe ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Airis will make their home here. Ruth-Lovey. A. simple and quiet church wedding was that of Miss Roberta Ruth and Mr. Alan L. Lovey, which took plaes at 7 o'clock Wednesday evening in St Paul's church. No one was present except ex-cept the two families and the groom's best man, Mr. Carl Smith. The ceremony cere-mony was followed by a reception from S till 11 o'clock in the parlors of the St. James hotel. The rooms were decked with autumn leaves and flowers, and about a hundred of the friends called to wish the two joy and happiness in their new life. Mr. and Mrs. Lovey left on the late train for a short wedding wed-ding journey, after which they will be at home in this city. Midgley-Mackensie. The marriage of Miss Edith Midgley I and Mr. Alexander G. Mackenzie took J place Tuesday evening at the home of the bride's parents and was a beautiful home wedding in every sense. Aftec J the ceremony a reception to the rela- tives and friends lasted from 8 till 11 i o'clock. The home was very prettily j decorated with palms, smilax and cut flowers. The parlor where the bridal party stood to receive the guests was j clone in pink asters, a bank of palms and smilax filling the large bay window before which they stood. In the dining room rod asters and dahlies were used and fhe table showed the same glowing glow-ing color throughout. The sitting room was gay with sunflowers. Punch was served in the conservatory by Miss . Claire Midgley, and the Misses Winnie Evans and Elsie Lyon served refreshments refresh-ments in the dining room. The bride wore a sown of cream dotted mulle over taffeta, and carried white bride's roses. Mr. and Mrs. Mackenzie havo gone to Montana for a short visit with the groom's mother. They will be at home after Nov. 1 at 267 Fifth East street. |
