Show OBITUARY. Joseph Marshall Bishop, who for many years conducted a grocery and feed store at 4994 Lowell boulevard, died at his home on Saturdav, December Decem-ber 10. Mr. Bishop had all his life been a devout adherent of the Methodist Meth-odist church, but when stricken with his fatal illness expressed a desire to die in the Catholic faith. Rev. Father Fath-er Brown, S. J., of Sacred Heart college, col-lege, was summoned, and after brief instructions administered the sacrament, sacra-ment, of baptism to the dying man. The widow accompanied the remains to the old home in Louisville, Ky., for Interment. Besides his widow, Mr. Bishop leaves a son, Joseph, a pupil of Sacred Heart college. r r- Mrs. Mary Plumb, one of the best known residents of the north side, passed away on Tuesday, December 13. at her home, 4584 Alcott street, after a short illness. Her funeral was seld Thursday afternoon from St. Patrick's Pat-rick's church, where Rev. Father O'Dwyer read the last prayers. The Ladies' Catholic Benevolent association associa-tion and other fraternal socities were represented. Interment was in Mount Olivet cemetery. Mrs. Plumb is survived sur-vived by two daughters. Misses Frances and Katherine Plumb, and three sons, William, John and Ernest Plumb, all of whom were with their mother when the end came. |
