Show Obituary. Alexander J. McDonald died at St. Joseph's hospital Friday evening, Jan. 15, after an illness of less than a week. Pneumonia was the cause. Mr. McDonald Mc-Donald was one of the best known men in Denver, where, for twenty-five years, he was connected with one or other of the leading dry goods houses. He was 60 years of age and a native of Prince Edward island. Mr. McDonald left the land of his birth in 1874 and was making mak-ing preparations for his first visit to his old home when the fatal illness seized him. The funeral was held Sunday Sun-day afternoon from St. Leo's church, where the pastor. Rev. William O'Ryan. officiated. Burial was in Mount Olivejt cemetery. The pallbearers were chosin from among bis associates in the Denver Den-ver Dry Goods company, and were Messrs. E. N. Wood, H. J. Baglcy, II. L. McWhortcr, Warren Conley, W. W. Taylor and Dr. Tarrif. The funeral of Mrs. C. E. Sheehy. who died at her home. 1230 East Fourteenth Four-teenth avenue, on Wednesday. Jan. 13. was held from Logan Avenue chapel Friday morning. Interment was in Mnnnt Olivet nervielnpv XTi-e Sheehy leaves many friends in Denver, Den-ver, where she had lived for twenty-seven twenty-seven ye"-i and been identified with numerous charitable projects. She is survived by a husband and four children. chil-dren. Mrs. Sarah O'Brien, the aged mother of A. H. and J. W. O'Brien, died 01 Tuesday, Jan. 12. at her home, 3761 Stuart street. The remains were shipped to Wankegan. 111., on Thursday, Thurs-day, after requiem mass at Holy Family Fam-ily church. Mrs. Mary Frances Gormley of 2921 West Twenty-fifth avenue died on Sunday. Sun-day. Jan. 17, at St. Joseph's hospital. Her funeral took place on Wednesday with requiem mass at St. Dominic's church. Burial was in Mount Olivet cemetery. Mrs. Gormley was the wife of Edwin M. Gormley. James D. Coffey of 2921 East Thirty-sexond Thirty-sexond avenue died at his home on Friday. Fri-day. Jan. 15, at the age of 57 years. He was buried Sunday afternoon from Annunciation church, which was filled with sorrowing relatives and friends. Burial was In Mount Calvary cemetery. 4 The funeral of Andrew Trrrhtl of 1335 Navajo street was held Monday morning, morn-ing, Jan. IS. with high requiem mass at St. Elizabeth's church. Interment was in Mount Calvary cemetery. K K Mr. and Mrs. P. F. O'Farrell of 1846 Marion street lost their infant son 4 I Patrick last week. The little one had opened his eyes on this world but a day previous. He was a nephew of Rev. Cornelius O'Farrell of Montrose, Colo. |
