Bingham Bulletin: On visiting the new Last Chance mill yesterday a Bul- letin reporter saw it running without a hitch, and with every indication that it will prove a fine success, overcoming obstacles which have in the past made the concentration of Last Chance ores a difficult if not losing proposition. A grinding pulverizer, similar to the airastra in operation, reduces the ore to the fineness of flour, and defies its tenacious clogging, which paralyzed the former mill. The plant includes six improved frue vanners, and their products look unusually promising. The mill as at present arranged has about 50 tons capacity. It started up V vdnesday afternoon, and is running mixed ore that was in the bin. Hereafter it is to be supplied from the Hooper mine, one of the Last Chance SX'iup, and if results are satisfactory will be run from now on to its full capacity. Drifting from the working shaft continues and the shaft will soon be connected with the ore bodies above mentioned and as soon as this is done the erection of the mill will be commenced. Quite a force is now employed on the property and every effort is being made to prepare the ground for producetion as rapidly as possible. Mining matters on Lion Hill are in e very encouraging shape. Park Record: A trip to the Daly-Wemine Sunday last found that property moving along with renewed energy, owing to the fact that the new hoisting machinery is now working as smoothly as could be desired. Money cannot buy a better equipment. Recent developments in the Silver King have shown that even its owners and the men who know every foot of ore uncovered are not yet able to even comprehend the true value of the pioperty, as new and unexpected developments are constantly being encountered. A drift recently run in the direction of the big crosscut driven bv the Alliance people in their efforts to tap the Silver King ore body encountered a vein of fine ore of an entirely different character from any that has yet been shipped by its lucky owners. The crosscut driven by the Alliance people was broken into in crosscutting the vein and found to be only six feet away from the ore, which is another illustration of how near one can come to a fortune and yet miss it altogether. All in all, the Silver King Is one of the most wonderful properties in the world and the record it could make with silver the equal of gold would make a Butte City or Leadville out of Park City in a few years. air-compres- sor, State Line District- Pioche Record: The Creole claim, which is looked upon by most of the prospectors in this district as being on the main gold belt, and the most promising gold claim yet discovered, continues improving as work progresses. The ore recently shipped from this claim averaged over four ounces in gold and twelve ounces in silver. The ledge at the face of the lowrer tunnel is over three feet in wddth and will average about $G0 in gold. The owrners of this claim are scientific miners. They are sinking a shaft from the top. When the shaft has gained about 100 feet in depth, they will run in the tunnel along the ledge a distance of about 150 feet and tap the shaft. They explain this method of working by stating they wish to have air in back when the tunnel is pushed ahead. A prospector named Hicks has just discovered a gold ledge a fewr yards on the Nevada side of the line. The assays from the croppings went $83.50 in gold and a few ounces in silver.
