Owen Mitchell, Vehicle Transportation Division, and David L. Buckley, Maintenance, were presented with Distinguished Graduate Awards. The Conference Leader's a potpourri of Hill AFB personnel AWARDS Members of the 2701st EOD Squadron recently received awards from previous duty stations. TSgt. William J. Steiner received the Meritorious Service Medal for service as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team Member while serving with 7061st Munitions Support Squadron, Arazos, Greece. TSgt. Elmer L. Zoltz received the Air Force Commendation Medal (Second Oak Leaf Cluster) for service as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team Member while serving with the 405th MMS, Clark AFB, Phillippines. SSgt. Donald C. Shaw received the Air Force Commendation Medal (First Oak Leaf Cluster) for service as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team Member while serving with the 7061st Munitions Support Squardon, Araxos, Greece. TSgt. Jessie Moore, Jr, received the Air Force Commendation Medal (Second Oak Leaf Cluster) for service as NCOIC of Unit Administration, 1987 Comm Squadron, NKP Award went to Charles C. Port Squadron (AFRES) recently graduated with top honors from the Headquarters Command NCO Boiling AFB, Academy, Washington D C. Sergeant Hanson was the first Hill AFB Reservist to attend this particular NCO Academy since it opened its doors in 1957, and his class of 56 Regular Air Force NCOs raised the academic scores to a new all time high, a full to per cent higher than the previous high.
