The answer is found in the truth that Jesus chose to live on earth as a human being. Christ was both Deity and human, and because of the latter, He chose to express His communion with God, the Father, through prayer. Therefore, it is both by example and exhortation that we are called upon to maintain an active prayer life. A prayer life which has as its main purpose the establishing, maintaining and adjusting of our proper relationship with God. Everyone is invited to pray. Unfortunately, the man who waits until he feels worthy to enter into God's presence with prayer will never know the joy of this experience. It is through the experience of prayer that we are able to express to God our repentance for sin and seek forgiveness through faith in Christ as Lord. Also, it is in prayer that we offer praise and thanksgiving unto God for His presence, strength and guidance in our lives. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than the these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask anything in my John 14:12-1- 4 name, I will do it." . . .
