We are always thrilled at the progress Hill AFB has made in the past 20 years having grown to the largest employer in the state of Utah, with important responsibilities in missiles and century-serie-s aircraft. Sometimes our memories stretch a little wider and we also recall what a difference the past 20 years has made to surrounding communities as well. It makes us proud to recognize the part Hill AFB has played in their growth. Remember, if you can, just how Clearfield, Layton, and Roy ll looked back in days. Think how much Ogden and Salt Lake City and communities in between have grown since 1940. Then, just for fun, try to visualize how many of the homes are being paid for by Hill wages. It runs to quite a figure when you realize that 13,500 military and civilian personnel are sharing the $70 million payroll paid at Hill each year. When you think of it that way, it makes you want to say thanks for the things Hill AFB has helped you personally to accomplish: for helping pay for the new house, send the children to college, and buy a new car. pre-Hi- It makes fovemW Seeks Out 242 Beneficial Suggestion Week submitted, or percent participa- F. They will all be notified of the results of their ideas as soon as evaluations have been completed.
