Show Page January HILL TOP TIMES 2 Glamorous Gals Compete in Beauty Contest for Two Regal Crowns Thirty-si- x 27, 1956 Most Military Exemptfrom Property Taxes The largest crop of pulchritude ever harvested at Hill AFB competed in bathing suit and evening wear in the beauty contest held at Hill AFB last week. Thirty-si- x girls from every part of the base including organizations located at the Navy Base and West area were on hand for the beauty bout. They were vieing for the titles of "Miss Air Power" for Hill AFB and the Ute Squadron of the AFA. Recent negotiations by the Judge Advocate's office with Utah State Tax Commission resulted in an exemption for military serving in utan on oraers. Under the new ruling, personnel must obtain a statement from their commanders certiiymg their miR. tary and residential status. This statement will be presented to county assessors of the county in which the person resides. The assessor will issue a certi ficate of tax exemption. Military living in Davis County will find the assessor in Farmington. Those residing in Weber County will re- ceive their certificate at the City I ana county rrauamg, ugaen. The certificate will be then pre-sented to Utah State Tax Commis-sion or its branch offices.
