He was amazed when three of them sprouted grew and produced four ears of corn. But the corn was like none Black had ever seen before. It was multicolored, with kernels of at least G different hues appearing on each ear. Kernels of red, purple, orange, yellow, blue, white, striped, and black gave the ears a weird look. The next year Black planted ker nels from the newly grown corn, and this year had a full patch of the ancient Indian maize. It was specimens of this corn that the Black brothers brought back to show friends at Hill AFB. "As far as can be discovered, this is the first corn extracted from ancient cliff dwellings that has ever been known to germinate and grow," the brothers said.
