' field. w. ed - II Irshal Davis . . . Directs rehears ' - Weber college in Ogden and Utah State Agricultural college at Logan have cooperated in the program, have sent hundreds of, trained men and women to work at Hill Field. While training classes off the base have been vital to the pro gram, the training of employes here on the field has proven of most importance. This is most graphically shown by figures of the total number of courses completed by trainees. In the months for which data is available,, over 27,000 courses were completed on this field. Nearly 2000 were taken off reservation. Discrepancy between figures of courses completed and number of trainees is due to the fact that trainees usually take more than one course at the same time. Maintenance courses lead the field, followed by courses in head quarters training and supply. The important part that women are playing In this war is revealed in the data showing approximately 45 per cent of all courses to have been completed by the fair sex. The percentage of women taking , supply courses reached 63 per cent. Headquarters courses were about evenly divided between men and women. Men, however, completed maintenance the majority of courses, about 65 per cent. The fact that some 10,000 persons completed training courses in the last six months does not mean that the Hill Field population increased by that much. Due to a high rate of labor turnover, new trainees usually came onto the field as replacements for those who had left for one reason or another.
