Williams, who was at Hill Field temporarily last November and December in the intelligence office, has returned and since April 6 has been assistant intelligence officer and assistant provost marshall here. Major Williams, a combat flier in World War I with a brilliant record in action, returned to active service as a major in August of 1942 and was last stationed in Atlantic City, N. J in the AAF Redistribution Center. Not by any means the only member of his family actively engaged in the war effort, Major Williams has a son, a second lieutenant in the chemical warfare section of the tank destroyer division; also a daughter working for Lockheed in Texas. Texas McCamey, Texas, to be exact is the Williams' home town. His wife is here with him now. Major Williams' son graduated from Officers' Candidate School when he was only 18 years of age.
