Free tickets to Raptors Game Hill Air Force Base received free tickets to the Top of Utah Military Affairs Committee/Hill Appreciation Night at Lindquist Field with the Ogden Raptors at 7 p.m., Aug. 8. The Raptors will play the Helena Brewers. This is an annual event that is sponsored by the Top of Utah Military Affairs Committee and the Ogden Raptors organization to show support for all the members of Team Hill and their families. This is a family event, and there is no limit on the number of tickets each individual may receive. The Wing partnered with Employer Support to the Guard and Reserve to host this day-long event, in which employers get a glimpse of what their employees do as part of the Air Force Reserve. "We think it's important to thank you for your continued support of our Airmen," said Col. Bryan Radliff, the 419th FW commander. "We are so honored to have you here and show you what your reservists do in support of this great nation." The event featured an F-16 aerial refueling mission. Attendees flew in a KC-135 and were able to watch F-16s refuel from a boom operator's vantage point. "It was incredible!" said Thomas Dalton, a United States Air Force employer. Air Force Jakarta Bound Installation and Mission Support Center created Air Force News Service Davis Arts Council recognizes Hill The Davis Arts Council plans a Hill Air Force Base Appreciation Concert featuring Thompson Square Aug. 21 at the Ed Kenley Amphitheater in Layton. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. Team Hill employees can purchase 2-for-1 tickets for $34. The tickets are normally $34 each. The limit is two 2-for-1 tickets. Parking is available at the corner of Balmer and Foulois Streets, and runners can enter through Gate 28V. A single F-16C and two F-16D Block 25 aircraft were among the jets delivered Monday. The aircraft were formerly flown by U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard units, but had been warehoused by the Ogden ALC's Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group located at Davis-Monthan AFB in Ilicson, Ariz. WASHINGTON — The Air Force is centralizing its installation support management within a newly created Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center, Air Force officials announced July 11. The change resulted from a comprehensive effort to reduce overhead costs; increase efficiencies; eliminate redundant activities; improve effectiveness and business processes; and will help meet the Defense Department's directive to reduce costs and staff levels by at least 20 percent. The new AFIMSC will report to Air Force Materiel Command. Air Force officials announced Maj. Gen. Theresa Carter as the AFMC special assistant to the commander. She is charged with developing the strategy and implementation plans for this new center. "This is a fundamental paradigm shift in how the Air Force has historically controlled and delivered installation support capabilities," said Bill Booth, the Air Force's acting deputy chief management officer.
