The drive will begin on Aug. 1 and run through Aug. 24. Last year, Team Hill generously donated over 5,500 pounds of nonperishable food items and members of the Contracting Directorate donated an additional 3,500 pounds in their own drive. This year the goal is to collect at least 10,000 pounds of nonperishable food items to be distributed to various food banks in the surrounding communities. This includes canned goods, cereal, boxed meals, pasta, rice, peanut butter and other similar non-perishable items. Each week, different items will be emphasized, although all items will be accepted at any time during the drive. uring the first week, cereal, macaroni and cheese, and boxed meals will be sought, followed by pasta, rice, canned chicken, canned tuna and peanut butter the next week. The final week will be focused on canned beans, soup, and fruits and vegetables. Collection barrels will be located throughout the base. The TH-JFC and Contracting Directorate would like to thank everyone in advance for their support.
