John Finn (above). The Service Club played host to talented airmen at Hill AFB last week in a special talent contest. The event marked the start of the annual Air Force wide contest to search out talent for the famed "Tops in Blue" show. Winners in three categories were chosen to represent Hill AFB at the next level of competition. A large audience of airmen and their guests were very receptive to the performance of the conBeattestants, according to Miss direcrice Warnert Service Club tion. Judging the event were Lt. Col. R. S. Fuhrmeister, Jr., Lt. Betty Carickhoff, and Mr. Lee Jorgen-se- n from radio station KVOG. Lt. Curtis Smith was project officer. A3c John Finn, 2849th Air Base Wing, was judged winner in the instrumental solo category as a pianist. Winners in the western group were AlC William L. Bean and from SSgt. Bernard C. Strucklandbquaa-rothe 28th Logistic Support The novelty act category will be represented at the next level of competition by a trio from Hill: A3c Donald Whitfield, 7th Communications Construction Squadron; A3C Harold J.
