Advanced in the regular AF were Maj. Ralph' W. Hamilton, chief quality analysis who received a permanent grade of major, and Maj. William H. Van Vliet, chief of support division of the AF Ammunition Services Office, who was promoted to the Permanent AF Reserve rank of Lt. Colonel. Second Lt. Donald R.
