This place of honor was won for the club by the $3,208.90 donation they made to the Society during 1954-5The Washington, D.C. club donated $5,000. The next highest to Hill AFB was the Womens' Club Thrift Shop at Wright-Patterso- n AFB which contributed $3,150. The outstanding accomplishment of the Hill Thrift Shop was due largely to the work of Mrs. Philip B. Foote, chairman of the shop during the first half of the period referred to, and Mrs. Ralph S. From 1933 until 1942 he worked for Forest Service. He later spent a few years working at the Utah General Depot and for the War Assets Administration.
