Show Page March HILL TOP TIMES 2 Course Set Up In Personnel Career Area tiffed - yj I The Extension Course Institute, USAF. recently activated its first course in the personnel career area. The new course is .Basic rer-onnPrinciples (No. 7321). It is a four-volucourse covering oc cupational classification, Air Force nublications. administrative orders, military correspondence, and other matters pertaining to personnel. The student does not need any special qualifications to enroll for the course. It is designed for both officers and airmen. Civilians work ing in this Air Force area are also eligible to take the course. ECI has estimated that it will take the students about 84 hours to complete the course. The personnel course is one of a series of specialized courses offered bv ECI. Students' can choose trom 55 courses covering twenty-tw- o career areas. These facts prove that they are a healthy and conscientious group. Photo above shows some of the record-maker- s. High men are the two at left, top row, who each have 1100 hours of sick leave to their credit. They are sick Elbert E. Carr and George B. Mowry. Both resulted in taking almost half of wing personnel from the base for considerable periods. The first, nicknamed "Operation Sandstorm" by men involved, was a mobility movement of the bomb group portion of the wing to Wendover AFB, Utah. Nearly 700 men and thousands of pounds of gear were airlifted to the desert site. Gunnery and bombing exercises were staged in a show of 4Glst capabilities.
