Ridder, deputy director of personnel, at a party held in his honor at the Apollo club last week. According to all reports everyone had a great time dining and dancing. Major Ridder has been assigned to Hill AFB for over two years and in that time has made many friends who will regret to see him leave. He is departing in about a week and intends to go with his family to Wichita, Kansas, where he will visit for several weeks with his parents before leaving for overseas. CUPID'S NOTES The most exciting event, to date, in the life of Bonita Ghumm happened a few days ago. She became engaged. Bonita, who works in warehouse 8C, accepted a blue white diamond ring from Wayne L. Phillips, Tooele Ordnance. The young couple plan to wed in January . . . The sheet metal branch announces the engagement of Erma Fallows and Harold Bills, two of their employees. The wedding date has not been set as yet . . . Reports from the electrical harness shop tell us that Delma Barrett is getting married the latter part of this month. Joan Smith, who formerly worked in the harness shop, is giving a wedding shower for the bride-to-be. NEW CITIZENS Recently issued birth certificates proclaim more and more new citizens. For instance, Mr. and Mrs. Ramon Fisher have a new red ' headed baby son. He will be named Ramon Arthur. Mr. Fisher works in reclamation . . . Kathy Dawns is the name chosen for the new daughter of Ben Relaford who works in sheet metal . . . Baily Smith, sheet metal, has a new member in his family a baby girl . . . Charles R. Eddy, sheet metal, is mighty proud of his first grandchild who was born recently and will also be named Charles . . . Willis B. will name his new born son Elliott, vehicle & equip, Stanley . . . Jack Schofield, inspector in the machine shop branch, is the father of a new daughter. This little girl makes the fourth one for the Schofields . . . Two workers from the electric shop are new fathers. They are Berl Christopherson, who has a new daughter, and Charles Cope who has a new son. O'Brien is leaving her job in reclamation to join her husband who is working in Japan. Mrs. O'Brien has worked at Hill about three years.
