Show HILL TOP TIMES Page 8 Committee Studying Absenteeism Will Soon Make Report Personnel Will Conduct Survey An attitude and opinion survey will be administered to a sampling of employees at Hill Air Force Base in the near future, according to Mr. L. H. Florence, chief of civilian personnel branch. Approximately 100 employees will De selected at random to participate in the survey that is being conducted at all bases in the Air Materiel Command. The survey is being staged to judge the effectiveness of the civilian personnel program" at each station, Mr. Florence said. It is in line with AMC's feeling of respon- An absenteeism committee has been established at Hill AFB for the purpose of studying sick leave. Members of this committee are assembling all the facts on sick leave with a special eye out for the few who are "sick leave abusers." Honest use of sick leave does not disturb the committee. g This committee, headed by chairman Walter Martin, chief of Placement and Employee Relations section. Civilian Person nel branch, has been functioning fact-findin- sibility for the program so they might render any assistance indicated by the results. "It is also AMC's way of 'feeling the pulse of workers' becoming acquainted with their opinions and attitudes," Mr. Florence said. Officials are anxious to learn how employees feel in regards to all phases of the civilian personnel program. Through this" they are able to effect better utilization of employees and thus further promote the current program for securing "more Air Force per dollar," he said.
