Korean Peoples Hill AFB has joined in the n-wide appeal of the American-Kore- a foundation for $3,0O0,(HK to be raised during "Aid to Korea Week," according to Colonel H. J. Kieling, base commander. June 5 to 11 will be the dates of the drive at this base to help in bringing immediate aid to the homeless, orphaned and widowed of Korea. Utah state governor J. Bracken Lee, met with Colonel Kieling and base officials, to ask Hill AFB's g aid in the campaign. Governor Lee reported that Dr. Milton S. Eisenhower, chairman o the American-Korea- n foundation who is spearheading the national drive, sent him a telegram which reads in part: "Ten million Koreans are facing starvation and disease so pitiful that American soldiers who are risking their own lives in Korea have given $13 million from their pay to help these brave and stricken people." Dr. Eisenhower's telegram continues : "While fourteen combat divisions of the ROK army fight with unexampled valor at the front, with more in training to take up the battle; women, children, the aged and maimed South Korean veterans behind the front also fight for their lives against hunger and disease. Activation Of 46I Bomb Wing Is Postponed Indefinite postponement of the activation of the 401 st Light Bomb Wing at Hill Air Force Base was announced yesterday by the headquarters of the Tactical Air Command, according to the public information officer at Hill AFB. In line with the current policy of restudying the Air Force mission, its units, and installations, certain steps in reprogramming have been taken. The reprogramming now being studied will delay indefinitely the activation of the new unit proposed at Hill Air Force Base, the PIO said.
