Show ' HILL TOP TIMES Drcftecan 1' Is Airman a i J - i Kuttig, man in the Comptrollers office at Hill Air Force' Base. In addition to receiving a letterpf commendation from Brig. General A. H. Gilke-son- ,. . Hill APB's commander, Sgt. Kuttig was presented an engraved identification bracelet designating him the outstanding airman of the 1 month. Sgt. Kuttig, as chief draftsman for the comptroller's office, was given this honor for "outstanding performance of duties," according to Captain Val S. Scoville of the analysis office. In recommending that Sgt. Kuttig be given airman of the month honors,; Captain Scoville said, "Sgt. Kuttig has demon strated unusual devotion to duty with a conscientious attitude tow ard using his own initiative and .. - SSgt. Walter Kuttig . . He has al so shown his admirable initiative by attending night school at Weber college and taking United States Armed Forces .Institute courses to add to his possession of technical knowledge of statistical drafting acquired by continuous study and hard work." t, Sgt. Kuttig, formerly of Air in the enlisted Illinois, Force in December 1946. Following Wsic training at- Lackland AFB, Texas, he entered the finance school at Lowry AFB, Colorado, and upon completion of the school was assigned to March AFB, California. Sgt. Kuttig was later transferred overseas and served with the Berlin Air Lift for one year in 1948 and 1949.
