Leota Duckworth (above) became the first WAF from Hill AFB to be married at the base chapel. The wedding, performed by Major Thomas G. Hepner, took place on July 3rd. At the lovely ceremonies, Pfc. Duckworth became the bride of SSgt. Robert Mullinix, an air police stationed at Lowry AFB. Attending the wedding were the bride's mother and the bride's girl friend who traveled from West Virginia for the occasion. Also present at the ceremony were the groom's parents from California. A reception honoring the young couple was held at the Hill AFB service club immediately following the ceremony. The newlyweds departed the next day for a honeymoon trip to California. The nine-da- y celebration starts tonight in Ogden stadium with the presentation of Roland Parry's original musical, "All Faces West." Two other are the historical paradeattractions 24, made up of more than 40 July entries', and the rodeo series in Ogden stadium produced by Leo Cremer, Big Timber ,Mont. The Ogden rodeo dangles a prize purse of $10,000 to attract the nation's top ropers, riders and wrestlers.
