Directed by Edmund Berry of Ogden, (extreme left) the choir is rapidly progressing into a fine organization, according to Chaplain Thomas Ilepner. However, even more voices can be used. SSgt. James LaFond from Wisconsin, like other airmen had eagerly awaited the arrival of the YVAF squadron, but little did he dream that one of the WAF's would be his cousin. She is Pfc. Yvonne Thompson of LaCrescent, Minnesota. The relationship goes like this: Yvonne's mother is Sgt. LaFond's first counsin, the Sarge's father is Yvonne's mother's uncle and Yvonne's grandma is LaFond's dad's sister. (Ooh, I'm my own grandpa!) Anyway, all boiled down, they are second cousins.
