The events will take place in the Menotti took part in the installation ceremonies. The new president of the Soroptomists works for the forest service and the entire meeting was set around that topic. Phelps of Helper has been named the 1975 recipient of the $250 Helper Volunteer Fire Department scholarship to the College of Eastern Utah, according to Tony Tone, chairman of the scholarship department's committee. Miss Phelps, 18, a 1975 graduate of Carbon High School, was the editor of the yearbook, "New Day at Carbon," and maintained a 3.60 grade point average, which placed her in the top 15 percent of the graduating class. She was a member of the Carbon High band and First Vice Pat Sloan; Second Vice President, Tina Sanchez; Secretary, Grace Welch; Treasurer, Ramona Milano. These officers will serve 6 the year. Their meetings are held on the first week of each month for the fall season. SOROPTOMISTS The Soroptomists met at the Carbon Country Club on June 4 and installed their new officers.
