Miss Rolando, a 1973 graudate of Carbon High School, is a freshman at the university. J Photo H-- Ma Bell Helper native appointed to Chief Operator post A Helper native has been apponted Chief Operator of the Price office of Mountain Bell Telephone Company to replace a Price woman who retired after 33 years with the firm. Faith Pappacostas, who has been with Mountain Bell for 22 years, received the appointment. She replaces Maxine Wilson. Ms. Pappacostas started with Ma Bell as an operator in Salt Lake advancing to a stenographer in traffic a district engineering, ! commercial secretary, a reports assistant with the controller department and assistant manager of the traffic department. The new chief operator is a 1951 graduate of Carbon High School in Price. James Her father operated the Palace Candy Store and later the Palace Furniture and Hardware Store in Helper for many years. In her new position, Ms. Pappacostas will supervise 32 operators in the Price office. She will assist the operators in the Price office to help customers place calls. Ms. Pappacostas has one sister and three brothers, Connie and Les of Salt Lake; John of Sand Diego, Calif.; and Spiro of Indiana. All-Sta- te Jane W. Reese Jane Wallace Reese, 81, of Salt Lake, a long time Helper resident, died June 30 in a Salt Lake nursing home. She was born June 20, 1893 in Winterquarters to Andrew and Margaret Anne Cox Wallace. She married Theodore Thomas Reese November 6, 1914 in Price. He died in 1967. She was a member of the LDS Church.
