"We look like graashloippers compared to them." When the people heard this report they began to- complain. A negative report usually gets negative results. "We wish we had died in Egypt, or even in the wilderness, rather than come to this country." However, two of the twelve brought in a minority report. And minority reports are often more realistic than that of the majority. "Let us- go at once and poissesis the land," said Caleb, "for we are well able to conquer it." Joshua agreed with Oaleb and) pleaded with the people not to be afraid1. But the leaders decided to wait. see a very "familiar emblem wherever he travels in that dounitry. It is a picture of two men with a cluster of grapes hanging from a pole resting on their shoulders. Several visitors Jail to catch the signifi- cance of the emblem. The account says they found the land very fertile, and brought back the cluster of grapes as proof. "When the twelve had returned from their travels in the country they were called together and questioned by the leaders. The leaders wanted lo know what chance they had in a battle aigainst those who possessed the land1. If the Hebrews were strong enough, they would proceed to dio battle. But if Wei, history proved) that Oaleb and Joshua were right in their assumption. And today they are remembered for their daring faith and positive think ing everywhere in Israel. It is important what a man thinks of himself. Extremely important. For it is highly un likely that a man can accom plish something he doesn't think he can. But if a person for has a healthy himself, his chances of success are much improved. It is very doubtful that other people will think more highly of you than the opinion you hold of yourself. I own one major medical health insurance policy that will protect my family against most major medical bills, but I am now considering the purchase of a second major medical policy. With tliis second policy, if someone in my family becomes ill and we collect from both policies we can make money on When itis tfcis do-something-about-it myommaz the deal. Can we? Really? A. Not so fast. Most policies in clude a provision restricting or limiting the collection of a loss under two or more policies. Here's what will probably happen if you try to collect on both policies: 1. Your first insurer will pay the claim as stated in the policy. The second company will not pay, or 2. Both companies will consider your claim and jointly pay it but not in excess of 100 per cent of your total bill, or 3. Your first insurer will pay the full benefits based upon the d terms of its policy. Then, the insurer will pay the excess up to 100 per cent of the amount of the loss. Our advice is to settle for one good policy. In the long run it will save you money. If you want to be fully protected arrange with your agent to get you a fully comprehensive policy. You can, of course, obtain almost any type of insurance protection you want but the more complete the protection, the more it will cost. Q. I've been told many people recover fully from serious disability. My question, then: why take out a long term disability policy? A. "Many people recover fully" yes. But many go on living, unable to work to earn their livelihood. It is in these situations that disability insurance is essential. Last year, $1.8 billion was paid out by insurance companies to help disabled persons meet the everyday expenses of living food, mortgage, clothing and so on. Sometimes a person is laid up for many more than two years. That's why an estimated 12 mildislion persons have long-terability policies that have benefits periods greater than two years, running for lifetime in some sec-con- see us about a Home Improvement Loan.
