Mr Memmott had been a consultant in the use of mining machinery prior to being appointed assistant director last January. The new director served one term in the Utah State Senate as a Democrat representing Carbon County and two years as state representative. He succeeds Marling J. Ank-cn- y who resigned after 12 years in the bureau. |
