It is expected, however, that April will see the majority of enrollments complete and the H program will be well underway by the time school lets out the latter part of May. 1 HELPER FEOPLE ASKED 4-- Last Friday night at the annual meeting of the Helper Merchants Baseball Association, Ernest Gardner, an ardent booster of baseball in this area, was elected president of the group. Elected to serve with him were Luke Cormani, vice president and members of the board of directors. Lawrence Payne, Ernest Essman, Larry Regis, Charles Need',eSi Ed Horner and Thorit Hatch. Holdover directors are Ed MarFlaim, Frank chetti, William Jerant and Walter Borla, the immediate past president. Before the meeting word was received that the Utah Industrial League had been disbanded and baseball league a new semi-pr- o formed to be known as the Utah State League. Teams in this new organization are American Fork, Pleasant Grove, Spanish Fork, Provo, Magna, Bingham, Mid-va- Water Users Meeting Called For April 12 At Court House A meeting of all water users has been called for 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, in the County Court House to discuss runoff forecasts and the general ir rigation water outlook for this coming season. Runoff forecast ing, snow surveys, water measurements, and improved irrigation methods will be discussion topics. This meeting has been called jointly by the Price River Soil Conservation District, Extension Service, and the Price River Water Users All Association. water users are urged to attend. MEETING APRIL 10TH Home owners of Helper are invited to attend a special meeting for the organization and planning of a garden club for the Helper area on Tuesday, April 10, at 8 pjn., in the Helper civic auditorium, according to County Agricultural Agent Robert L. Hassell. This meeting is for any and all peopie wno are interested m flowers and the beautification of their homes and their community. Garden clubs throughout the state of Utah are organized to make Utah the State BeautifuL with lilacs as one of the state shrubs. Many beautiful lilacs and other flowers are grown in the Helper area. It would be for the betterment of the community, as well as for all the people who reside therein to help make the Helper garden club serve the needs of this community, the county agent says. Mr. Hassell, who is also a director of the state association of garden clubs, will be at this meeting to explain the advan tages of garden club work and to help in formulating a year's pro gram for the Helper area.
