Edward 'Hebert of Louisiana has proposed law which will impose a tax on liquor dealers for the specific purpose of financing the relief and rehabilitation of alcoholics. The plan proposed calls for a one to three percent tax on gross liquor sales and applies to the District of Columbia. The proposal i3 eminently wise and just. Alcoholics are suffering use of alcoholic from chronic sickness induced by the beverages.
