Mr. 1 B K $M Special Announcement On Picture "Gone With the Wind" Patrons of our theatre need not be alarmed by the announcements that "Gone With the Wind" will be shown In some nearby city, says Manager Lewis of the Strand Theatre. Continuing, Mr. Lewis says that it has always been his desire to give local people the best in the line of entertainment and always at fair admission prices. Never have the owners of the local theatre been willing to impose on patrons by asking them such ridiculous prices as have thus far been asked by all theatres that have announced definite dates on "Gone With the Wind." If the picture is secured now the public must be Imposed upon and forced to pay prices that are entirely too high and in the Interest of patrons the local theatre 1s determined to get the picture, if this Is possible, in such a way that it can be presented to the public at a fair price. The house hopes that patrons and friends will understand the fight that Is being made In their behalf, a fight to prevent a general upward trend in theatre admissions, and understanding this, will wait for the local showing of the picture. If patrons do this the theatre will not have to violate Its established policy in which it takes considerable pride a policy that means the very Uest In the line of pictures at prices you can afford to pay.
