JUST IN CASE An Innocent man takes no orrenae because law enforcement agencies provide police to apprehend the guilty. The honest holder of property Is not questioned Decause he insures it against fire. it Is no reflection upon the borrower to ask Wm for collateral security. But, to observe a criminal, an arsonist or a fraud doubles such precautions. Likewise, to observe the rulnious results of foreign dictatorships (.hould double preventive action against such possibilities. Likewise, to observe in our own nation, acta positively parallel with those history shows have led always to dictatorship, should double our caution. Therefore, as in the case of the innocent man, the honest prop erty owner and the borrower, the popular demand for insurance, against continuation of emergency action should be understood and cheerfully received by the president of t!? United States and those with whom he has surrounded himself. An opposite attitude leads to serious suspicion. The Editor. The Mining and Contracting Review. ELKS TO HOLD '49 that colorful The days of per- in the nation's history, particularly attached to the development of the west will be delightfully depicted in Price on Saturday, May 2, when members of the local order of Elks stage a "Days of '49'' celebration. One of the feature events of the day will be a parade. Those in charge of the celebration have secured the use of an old time stage coach for the parade, this early-davehicle to be associated with many other "relics" of aim ilar nature to give color to the big party. Many of the neighboring Elks' lodges are expected to partlripate according to those in charge. Grand Junction has already promised a goodly sized delegation. Members of the lodge will wear frontier day clothes. The celebration will close with a grand ball in the Silver Moon hall at Price. iod GENUINE OLD FASHIONED APPLE JACK BRANDY Carefully distilled and slowly gad in heavy oak barrels FULL 90 PROOF WSPi&Sj - Friday Saturday Continuous Sat from 3:30 Double Feature MIT of im-- w m next y Subscribe for The Journal. w uui wen. rcn lOOISt D Second Feature BY KYLE LIVINGSTON By e SATURDAY NIGHT The band parents association of Helper will hold a band dance at Rainbow Gardens Saturday, April 2ft for the purpose of raising funds to send the local organlza-a- t ion to Logan for the state high school band meet in May.
