Eldest Member in Country to 5 A WELCOME GUEST Did you ever stop to think that people read newspapers because they want them? The newspaper is net forced on anyone. People pay for it and pay for it regularly. Whole families await eagerly and quarrel over their individual turns to read it. Each praises and criticises it as one is prone to criticise the other members of the family. That is why Its sales force is immeasurable. Door to door salesmen use all kinds of ingenious devices to get inside the home. But the newspaper Is a welcome guest. One type of selling is forced, the other type is received cordially. Door to door handbills are an intrusion upon the privacy of the home, but the newspaper is invited in. Its messages are read avidly and its advertisements are considered a part of these messages. The newspaper is so definitely a part of the people, so much an accepted member of the family, that its pages constitute the finest advertising medium yet devised. good-natured- ly Hel-irica- Reckless Car Driver Fined v- , i t Vk,L . .tl , 6n - 1 7 n, 2H v ...
